hey guys and thank you very much for checking out this video today i am posting the second part of my modern mansion speed build that i posted a few days ago that was the exterior and this video is the interior as you can see i've already gotten started, this one's going to be very split-level uhm, wow i lost my train of thought there but yeah this one's going to be very split-level i did a lot of things with staircases down trying to make this place look very glamorous
very fancy so the overall cover.. cover? colour palette. the overall colour palette of this house is blue, black, white yes. mostly black and white with pops of blue. there's also some of this pretty in plaster wallpaper that i discovered lately. i always saw people using it in their speedbuilds, and i was like "where are they finding this?" so i found it and now i've used it way too much but i love it so much. it's like the brick but it's kind of run down i know that dine out came with some that look a lot nicer than the one that came with the base game, so
anyway this house is so nice. i hate to toot my own horn here, but i love this house i am very proud of myself and i want to live in this house honestly most of the time, or lately i mean, lately i haven't been too into playing the live mode in the sims 4, i've just been building non-stop but this house has inspired me to want to play more and this house alone has convinced me to buy dine out also with the comments
some people were trying to well not trying to some people were convincing me to also get dine out so thank you, i will get it eventually and i just really want to play in this house, cause this house is so nice but yeah, uhm, this shelf thing i'm going to end up cutting out most of it because this honestly took me probably a good half an hour to get those shelves in place. it took so long but i wanted a division. the down part of that room there is going to be the dining room and the kitchen is going to be off to the side where i put those tiles
yeah, you shall see, but i wanted there to be a nice division between the entrance-way and the dining room so i built this little shelving area, and i put a lot of stuff on it, as you will see in a couple of seconds i'm gonna put a lotta crud i'm just placing it on the ground there, i'm gonna put it on the shelves afterwards and that's the, uhm, plaster wallpaper i was talking about, with the bricks there i love that it's so nice so i did mostly that dark blue in the dining room and the plaster, and a basic white wallpaper
all over the house i like to keep it tied in when i first started building this i had no idea really what to do with the bedrooms but after some time i realized like i, i saw these paintings, or these, not paintings. these photos of uhm time magazine kind of thing, when you like have a magazine framed and put it on the wall like if you're a journalist or whatever so i put those over to the side where the staircase is, upstairs
and my inspiration sort of thing, for this house, would have been like a really fan-shee... fancy smanshy. good god that was really hard to say fancy smanshy. is that a thing? i don't know anyway, a rich fancy kind of journalist, a very successful business person, perhaps. living in this house, so there displaying their achievements on the wall and yeah, i also did two teenage girl bedrooms
well one, one could pretty much go, they could both go both ways anyway but in my mind it was two teenage girls and their pretty rich parents one is more rebellious and the other one is pretty preppy so that is the type of family i pictured living in this house but it's definitely open-ended, you could do whatever you want with it and it is available to download on the gallery, already uhm i posted it yesterday on the gallery, so if you were following me on there you probably would have already seen this but yea, so this kitchen is so nice i
i am so sorry if you guys don't have cool kitchen i use it almost in every single kitchen i do but maybe i'll do like a giveaway for cool kitchen or something because it seems to be one of my favourite stuff packs i just like the cupboards i think they look nicer than most of the ones that came with the base game we could use some more and the ones from spa day are kind of weird i don't think i've ever used those ones also i put this like sculpture thing in the back here i thought that looked really neat, and i'm kind of regretting taking it away cause i do take it away
but now that i'm looking at it more i probably shouldn't have daang. ah well, we'll move, we'll move past this guys, maybe i'll do that in another kitchen but yeah this kitchen is so nice i want to move in, if i could digitize myself and just make myself into a sim and live in this house, i'd be a happy person i would live a happy, happy sim life if i could live in this house
that's a question! would you guys be a sim? how would you feel? would you know? do sims know? would you choose the sim life? is the sim life for you? you'know? i don't think i'd like being controlled but i feel like they would like, obviously they don't know cause they're not real but if we were to put people in a situation where they were transformed into sims knowingly i feel like
maybe i wouldn't care so much cause sims is pretty pg and people wouldn't be able to do pretty, like, too weird things to me other than like trap me in a room and starve me to death, or set me on fire which both seem very unappealing but i mean having all my choices made for me by someone who probably knows what's best it just i don't think i'd mind that too much
and if i got to live in a house like this, sign me right up because dang this house is so nice uhm here, i-i think i'm gonna be putting in those paintings that i was. paintings, not the paintings, the time magazine kind of things putting them in right now so like, this person is displaying their best work or something, there's also an office over to the side in the living room as well i thought this person would be pretty business savvy well like, uhm-i, i don't know but also
sorry there's like a lawnmower i think going off outside, i'm not really sure if you can hear that or not if you can i apologize but i really want to record this right now i'm so excited to post this because i think you guys will really like this and i really like this, so i'm excited to share it with you but as i was saying, i uhm i feel like a business-y person would probably live here or even like a person running a restaurant i think this would fit pretty well for someone who was running a successful restaurant or trying to run a successful restaurant but i mean if they had this kind of simoleons i'd assume that they were already running a successful restaurant
to be able to have this house also, uhm, the ceilings weren't high enough to have the really low hanging lights but i uhm, used the move objects on and the 9 key which helps you move objects up as you can see, and i turned it into a little uhm side table for the outdoor chairs i think i'm so clever i hope you guys like that little touch. i doubt it's even that noticeable but i was like "this is so brilliant, i am so smart right now"
here i go again tooting my own horn but i do do that in the uhm in the living room as well with the really dangly chandelier, i think it came with uh, spa day? maybe that's not right. it came with something it's really nice and uhm, it went up into the upstairs where the staircase lands off so the like a landing hallway kind of idea and i turned it into a little side table
as you will see later so this house has four bedrooms and i think 5 bathrooms, so many bathrooms. most of the bathrooms use the same tiles, they're not that exciting so apologies for not cutting this out, i probably could have done that and saved you some time wh-we will watch these bathrooms creation regardless i tried to do something with the, these uh, the tiles are also from spa day. all i've gotta say is spa day and uhm cool kitchen. i really like them both. get together is alright too but i don't know, i didn't find myself too keen on get together. i did really like it but the club thing i didn't really get into it that much
i don-i don't know inow i am building the office i was speaking about, just this little corner spot here i've, i don't know. it probably could have been. ca-probably could have been put in a better spot than where i put it but i like the little shape and the little staircase up into this open room that's ki-still closed off a nice little office for a nice little business-man. business-men or business-woman, either one. this house is very gender neutral, anybody could live here and enjoy it but yeah, uhm what was i talking about i have no idea
uhm i heard that i was watching philip defranco, if you don't watch his videos he's really cool. but he does the news and stuff, i'm sure you guys know he's very successful i was watching his video, and i heard that paypal, or paypal uk accidentally leaked the date of the steam summer sale which, i ain't mad about it but, apparently june 23rd is the day the steam summer sale will begin, i have been waiting so long for the steam,
i can't talk for the steam summer sale if you guys are also waiting for that let me know what games you're going to pick up if and when they go on sale during the steam summer sale which usually ranges from a week. if you guys don't know what steam is, it is essentially like origin if you're familiar with the sims, which i'm assuming you are considering you're watching this video but steam is very similar in the sense that they sell games but not just from their production. ea runs origin, steam is run by valve who makes left 4 dead and team fortress
but they also sell a variety of other games a lot of good games, you can get like grand theft auto on there, and etc., etc., there's thousands and thousands of games on there but if you guys are oh my screen just totally went black that was really weird, if you guys are looking forward to any uhm picking up any games with the steam summer sale let me know what they are! i personally am going to pick up telltale games' the walking dead: michonne i've been meaning to pick it up but i didn't want to pay fup- full price for it because it wasn't five parts like their usual
episodic series' like the walking dead seasons one and two, and uhm, the borderlands, tales from the borderlands i think that's 5 parts and the game of thrones one is also five parts too so yeah, i wanted to get that when it was on sale, i also might get borderlands the pre-sequel cause i just recently finished borderlands 2 three times three times, no joke, played it through on the normal difficulty, true vault hunter mode, and then ultimate vault hunter mode
that game is so fun, if you guys do not have it i highly recommend it if you like games like that it's very, very addicting and very fun now i want to play that uhm, but yeah so i might pick up the pre-sequel also cause it's newer not that new but fairly new also i mentioned game of thrones, if any of you are game of thrones fans, please holla at me because i would love to talk about it i am caught up, and
last week's episode let me tell you, let me tell you it's good and i highly recommend the show if you do not watch it it's so good i just recently started watching it this summer but i'm already caught up as you can see i am a little bit addicted and some other tv shows, hmm, uhm, i think that today was the release of season 4 of orange is the new black which is very exciting i am looking forward to watching the first, and probably all of the episodes after i post this video don't judge me! i like to binge watch. it's something i do. but i know, i know some of you are with me so hugs hugs to you binge watchers, my fellow, my fellow time wasting binge watchers
i did that with daredevil also, i watched the first season as soon as it came out and probably finished it in like two days i was working at the time so i had to limit my, limit my viewing pleasure second season, i was not, and i finished that way too quickly jon bernthal was in it so i mean my heart goes out to him and i'll use my love for him as an excuse so, i just finished doing the like fancy living area with that light i was speaking about and i realized that this, this part was kind of blocked off and i didn't like that it was so big like, i like that the house is big but i wanted it to be more closed off in sections rather
and i'm gonna turn that space into a like theatre area, a more casual living space with a large tv and like entertainment system which i want. i want that. i'd put that in my bedroom if i had the space but yeah, uhm so, i'm just moving the walls around here because i thought that the walkway for to get into there, i don't know what i'm trying to say but yeah there like i had that column thing way too close to the windows so i put an extra space to just give some more leeway, it's a big house we don't want anything closed off too much and here i am building the theatre system. guys can you imagine watching game of thrones on that tv, though? mm, i wish.
maybe one day, maybe one day by the time that that series ends i'm sure i might be able to get myself a nice $$$ tv like that oohh, ohh, girl i'm sorry i swore, i'm gonna bleep that out don't worry no swears allowed! i am i am going to be a respectful adult here and i am gonna not swear on my channel but yeah, i put a stereo down there too cause i'd assume that the people who lived here would do a lot of entertaining so why not have a stereo and i think that those speakers that i added actually act as stereos, so there's technically three stereos and a tv right there
which will probably get annoying cause i think the sims just go about their days turning on strereos and irritating everybody. at least my sims do that you might have to take out the speakers, but i thought it looked cool in terms of just emanating the look of an expensive home theater system, so i put them there also, doing a black and white house, woah, why did it stop there, anyway doing a black and white house, the rug options were much less limited! i found myself actually being able to find rugs to use
i think i reused a few more than once i was like yes these rugs! because usually they're terrible and if you've seen my other videos you know that they are awful and i'm sorry i forgot to turn the grid off here, i know you guys, or most people who watch youtube videos don't like to have the grid on when decorating and i think i'm gonna turn that, yeah wow. good timing i turned it off right there uh, but yeah, so for the entrance way i wasn't really sure what to do either because it was very, very open and i wanted to keep it pretty spacious and open so i just put a big rug to fill the space but,
it just still felt kind of open so i was trying to play around with these fountains which kind of looked awful so i didn't leave them i put this big pot thing that matched with the blue and black theme and that rug there, yeah i'm still trying to mess around with fountains but i didn't end up leaving one thankfully, cause i thought that looked kind of weird oh and i put a fountain there, and i know i put a fountain upstairs too which is kind of stupid because like the water technically is just running down into the ground, but it looks so fancy
so i had to leave it and over here on the side i want, like the staircases if you remember from the beginning of this video the staircases were giving me a hard time, i could not find a place to put them that looked normal so i opted for putting them off to the side of the kitchen here but it was like kind of jutted out so i put a guest bedroom back here, i didn't assume that sorry, a sim in the family would be using this bedroom as like their everyday bedroom but if they had guests come over this could be their spot where the guests would stay
can, s-, yeah, sims do stay over night but they usually don't sleep in a bed, it's very weird but this bedroom is open to guests so if you have your sims have sleepovers or anything there is a bedroom option for them and moving on to the upstairs, there's two bedrooms on this floor and one bedroom on the very, very top floor which is like the rebel teenage bedroom with a dj booth that i really, really liked and i did play test this entire build so everything functions normally, to my knowledge at least i tried most of the things that i thought would give problems and thankfully they didn't so this is good to download, like i said earlier this is available for download on the gallery, the hashtags and links to find it
are in the description below, but you can use the hashtag baileykeates with no spaces, the same way it's spelt here to find it on the gallery and there's also a link to the online gallery website in the description but yes, moving right along, uhm, this space was pretty open so i believe i put another tv, oh that's the little table i was talking about but i believe i put another tv and uhm couch area just because you can never have enough am i right? especially if this is a big family who entertains a lot you'd need a lot of spaces to have your company so an extra tv definitely wouldn't hurt. there it is there.
uhm, but yeah, i love this house so much i think that it would work really well for for uhm a let's play or for just playing in general it's really open and it's fun to navigate through the house when you're actually playing the game with all the porches and the backyard and the area it's in, i had this house in newcrest, in the if you have the game, and of course you have newcrest if you do have the game because it was a free update so this is in the back area where all of the lots in newcrest are, the farthest back when you open up that world in the largest
spot if that makes any sense i'm sure you could put this in any world and it would work fine minus like oa-oasis springs?! is that right? it's not desert springs. i knew i was wrong with that one oh i'm working on the master bathroom here, for some reason in the screenshots this came out really glitchy the walls just wouldn't show up so, apologies for those weird screen shots, i don't even know if i included those screen shots but they looked really wonky so i was like well it doesn't do it justice you're gonna just have to watch it here so i added a little room within a room to have the little toilet spot
i don't, i've never seen that in real life but i feel like that's pretty cool it's also fancy and then this big luxurious bath tub and the double sinks here in the back and when you first walk into the room there will be a makeup vanity. well it's not actually functional i don't think your sims could actually do that but it looks pretty so i wanted to just add it as a decorative feature so i added the mirror there to make it look like the vanity actually had the mirror on it, rather than a mirror on the wall and i'm gonna add a little stool, too close for your sims to actually sit but it looks so cute and it used up that space pretty well i didn't really know what to do with the space so that's what i did and moving onto the master bedroom i believe
i couldn't tell which bedroom was larger on this floor but i thought this one was, it was like a weird shape but uhm i don't know, if this one's not as big you could probably switch them around really easily uh but yeah i went with black and blue again in the master bedroom because i wanted it to match the rest of the house cause i feel like person who lived here would be very particular with their belongings, very clean and tidy and keep everything very organized and fluid, moving through the entire home uhm so i kept it very matchy, matchy all throughout again, easily changeable if you don't like the blue, but, i'm very fond of the blue so
hey look another tv! when you gots da money, why not? right? but yeah, so there are closets in every bedroom as well from get together i liked the look of them in this house particularly and then there was the room for them so why not this bedroom i was originally also going to do in blue but i was like "mm, well, if this is that teenage girl i was talking about so i went with pink uhm easily again could be changed, but i thought that the pink flower duvet was cute, this could be a room for anybody actually, i just made it like a teenage-ish room cause i had done a child's room in a previous build
and a nursery i believe i did in a previous build as well, so i wanted to change it up a bit and i added this nice desk thing i don't know, but yeah, i guess it's just a desk thing i don't really know how else to describe it so i added this little inset for a desk and it's like if she does her homework there or whatever or maybe she records sims speed builds who knows, but yeah, so i added that, and another carpet, yea uhm, the waste bin in underneath of there, i don't think that would be functional either but it looks pretty good too so i made the teenage rooms more
i think i'm moving onto the upstairs one i love this room so much i made the teenage rooms a little different from the rest of the house because i feel that if the teenager well the teenager would want to personalize it rather than having their mom or dad just be like the dictator of making their room special so in this room particularly i made it as if this i had in mind a girl would live in this room but i had in mind that she
was trying to rebel against her parents so she was very, very messy but her mom or dad decorated her bathroom but she didn't care so she like run it down a little bit i don't know, and she also has a dj booth which is kind of cool. clothes all over the ground. again, i did play test this and all of the stuff functions so thank goodness! you can actually access the dj booth and those pillars came in from the outside i moved them closer since the exterior part of the build because i thought they were jutting out a bit too far or the statues that i sized up
and so i put colums to like i don't know how to explain this, i'm sure you can see what i'm talking about with the columns and the statues coming through the wall and you can access the staircase, you can get up and down the stairs just fine so yea, and that is the end of this build here are the screenshots! i really, really hope you guys enjoyed this there are a lot of screenshots here at the end way too many probably but i again, really, really love this house and i hope you guys do too again, links to download are in the description and if you'd like to see more builds like this please don't hesitate to subscribe leave me some comments below if you have any suggestions for builds in the future
